City of Modica
Modica (postcodes from 97010 to 97015; dialing code 0932) is a notable town in the Iblea country, in south-eastern Sicily. The city, which is 10 km from Ragusa, is located in the southern area of ​​the Iblean Mountains, at 296 m above sea level. In terms of population it is the thirteenth municipality of Sicily and 124th in Italy, while it is for extension of its territory in 11th place among the Sicilian municipalities, and the 41st among all municipalities in Italy.

There are several ways of getting to Modica:
By Plane: Modica is reachable by airports in Comiso, Catania, Palermo, Trapani. The bus company AST connects Modica with these airports. It is also possible to rent a car from these airports.
By Boat / Ferry: The ports of Catania and Palermo are connected with Genoa, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples and Salerno. It is also easy to reach Modica with the catamaran service operated by Virtu Ferries which runs from Malta.
By Train: There are direct trains to Catania and Siracusa from major Italian cities (Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Rome, Venice, Milan, Turin). Timetables and prices are on www.trenitalia.com.
By Car: From Catania, take the A18 (Catania-Siracusa- Gela), towards Ragusa, and turn off when you reach Rosolini. Or you can take the SS 514, in the direction of Ragusa.
